My name is Jaromír Novotný. I am an independent filmmaker and artist based in Prague, Czech republic.
I create short animated films with a surrealistic touch full of absurd humor, strange imagery and chaotic narratives. Even though I boldly lean into an experimental style, I have much respect for the medium and enjoy novelty as much as technical skill and traditional methods that are proven to work.
My passion for digital hand-drawn animation with all of its possibilities has lead to me to create a project under which I would be able to freely explore every bizarre idea I could come up with. Back in 2019 I named this project 'eclipsor' and it became something of an artistic persona. I have been consistently releasing short films under this alias ever since. As of today, there are ten loosely connected entries in this ever-growing series.
Besides focusing on my own content, I also produce visuals for clients from all over the world to help them fulfill their creative ambitions. Over the years I have collaborated with various filmmakers, musicians, video game developers, content creators and brands in order to produce animations which breathe life into their projects.
